Oh, Whale Valentines

These are the little tags I made for my grandson's teachers and put them on Rice Krispie treats. I have no idea why I needed to make 25 of them but I was happy to oblige. They were so easy. I just used a few glue dots to hold them onto the package and tied them at the top with Island Indigo bakers' twine. I love the color and hope it's still current. The teachers all loved them!

Cased Patterned Occasions Birthday Card

My friend always gets her cards from me and this time needed some birthday ones. A week earlier, she wiped out my birthday card stash so I looked for something quick and easy but for guys. I found the one Mary Fish did Here that I thought was super cute! I didn't have everything Mary used so I got out my retired stash. See, cute huh? I love it and so did my friend.

Picture's a little blurry since I had to use my iPad to take it.

Oh, Whale! Baby Card

Just a quick post to show you my new card. My friend asked for a few baby cards and so I searched the web. I found this Here on Heather Summer's blog and Cased it.  Isn't he cute? I used a few scraps for the banners along with some of the new Sycamore Street dsp. Love that new Honeycomb embossing folder! This was such a fun card to make. I hope you like it!

Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Island Indigo and a few dsp scraps
Ink: Bashful Blue
Other: 2-1/2" punch, Happy Whale clearlit die, Honeycomb embossing folder, pearl and retired button

Happy 29th Birthday (again)

I needed two super quick birthday cards for my two friends who celebrated their birthdays recently. Of course I had to make a slightly funny card for them. Does this show my age??... growing up I remember my dad always quoted Jack Benny every year and told us that he is 29 again! =)

My apoligies for the blurry pictures but I always forget to take pictures and this was better than nothing!

Stippled Blossoms 2013 Calendar

My friend had a few of these little calendars left over so I got some from her but never got around to making anything with them. I kept thinking of the calendars that I saw Deanna of Kloset Kreations make last year.  This past week or so she posted her 2013 versions Here (what perfect timing!) and I couldn't help but CASE her beautiful calendars using SU supplies! It's a regular size card but with an extra piece of cardstock on the bottom that is accordion folded so you can stand it up and it also will lay flat for easy storage or to put in an envlope to send to a friend! Today I gave this beauty to my friend at work. She was so very happy to receive it because she always has a little calendar on her desk but none for 2013 so far.

My apologies for the terrible pictures but it was pretty cloudy all day yesterday but I took so many pictures and these are the best. I really would like a photo box one day.

Daydream Medallion Fancy Favor Box

It's been a while since I've posted. I just felt like I needed to take a little break but now I'm back! I have been very busy and will share more work in the next few  days and weeks. This is my take on the double stacked Fancy Favor box inspired by the very talented Dawn Olchefske Here for my friend's party favors. (Wish I had noticed that little spot on the ribbon before taking the photo but it will just have to do.) I used some retired dsp called Merry Moments and I just love how pretty and elegant it turned out. It's so much prettier in person! I hope you like it too!

Recipe:
Stamps: Daydream Medallion and Contempo Christmas
Paper: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Silver glimmer and (retired) Merry Moments
Inks: Real Red and Gumball Green
Other: Holiday Ornaments Framelits dies,Cherry Cobbler dazzling details and satin ribbon from my stash
