Today is Garage Sale Day!... and Last Set of Cards

Today is garage sale day! Here is the last set of cards that I made for Mom using Just Believe. I hope all the sets I made sell well. This particular set is the one I really love because it only took one set of stamps and was super easy to put together. And it's very very pretty! I know I made these in five colors but since I'm not a math person I only made 20 cards. (I know... lol!) So we ended up with only four sets of five cards.

Here's the super simple recipe:
Stamps: Just Believe
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Perfect Plum and Primrose Petals cardstocks
Inks: same as the paper plus Crumb Cake and Soft Suede (sentiment and frame)

This is the first time I've ever done card sets (for sale) and it was a good learning experience. The lessons I learned are: 1) Give yourself lots of time 2) Make them pretty and don't forget the packaging 3) Do your math right (this I know! lol..) 4) If you make tiny mistakes (unless it's a crooked sentiment) probably no one will know - really! =) 5) Take pictures before packaging if you're going to blog it =)

No Peeking!

I have been wanting to get an early start on my Christmas tags and thought this set was perfect! But I also wanted to put a little twist to it and not use only traditional Christmas colors. I love how they turned out! I especially love Summer Starfruit! Can you tell? I will make more using other colors, I promise =)

Cased Daydreamer Card Sets

Here is the third card set for Mom's church. This time I cased it from the very talented Deanna at Kloset Kreations. I love her work! Everything here is straightforward but let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yes, tomorrow's post will showcase the last set. If things go well, we may see some Christmas tags later today too! Yay! I love Christmas!

Creative Elements Card Sets

Here are more card sets that I made for my Mom's church, this time using Creative Elements. Though I was short on time, I was actually very happy for this opportunity to be able to create these for a very good cause. I did forget to take pictures before wrapping up these beauties. They are however, pretty straight forward one layer cards with 4 cards and envelopes to each package.

For the card holder, I just put the cards in a plastic sleeve then used a 8-1/2" piece of cardstock measured the width of the package plus 1/8". In this case it was 4-1/2" x 8 1/2".

It was scored with the long edge at the top at 5-7/8" and 6-1/4" and then scalloped the edge using the Adorning Accents Framelits . The Very Vanilla front layer is 1-3/4" x 4-1/4 and also scalloped.

Tip: if you run both your color and very vanilla cardstocks through the die at the same time, then your scallops will easily line up.

To hold everything in place, I put a couple of glue dots on the cs in the back (against the cellophane) and tied the ribbon snugly in the front.

Card Sets for Mom's Church

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but I've had a very special visitor in town and had taken a couple of weeks off from posting. But as you can see I have been very busy creating!  This is one of several card sets I've made recently and it came together very quickly. The box is the Stampin Up You're a Gem box. Link is Here.

The box is only 3/8" wide but easily holds 4 cards and envelopes. My cards have no embelishments so if you're using embelishments then you may want to see how many you can get in the box. Isn't it cute? I love it! Oh! I just noticed I didn't do a good job cropping the pictures. I really need a photo box.

I'll come back later with the recipe and if you want instructions. I'll also post the other sets over the next few days.

Happy 80th Birthday!

It's been a while since I've blogged but I'm still stamping, just not blogging as much. I will have a few things for you in the next few days though as I have been quite busy just too busy to take pictures but I will get there.

My friend requested a few party favors for her mom's 80th birthday. I was super duper busy but was able to come up with these simple  but pretty bags. I used some retired (but still very pretty and feminine) Cottage Wall dsp along with my heart punches and my very favorite die, Fancy Favor Bag.

Bootifiul Occasions Bag

Here's a quick little post today using the new Bootiful Occasions set. This set caught my eye immediately as I flipped through the new catalog. I think this set is so darling! This bag is about 3 x 4 inches so you see you can fit quite a bit in there.
